Dark Forest Introduction

Dark Forest Ecosystem

April 20, 2022

Dark Forest to me is so much more than a DeFi project...it is an entire ecosystem with one purpose...to stop the dilution of investment from investors trying to get into all the hot new protocols. Spreading money so thin that great projects have issues generating investments. Dark Forest creates a large powerful treasury that can sustain the entire ecosystem. All while building an incredibly connected community. Our community members will never have to spread their investment into different new and hot protocols. Every new expansion will bolster our investors' rewards, while providing the next best protocols under one umbrella. Dark Forest community members always have the ability to speak up and say...We want a Sphere like protocol and the Dark Forest team can create an optimized fork. Allowing our current investors to get what they want without taking money out of the DF ecosystem. Stopping the overall deletion issues other protocols are facing. A committed herd travels TOGETHER and moves TOGETHER...if deer start heading off alone and jumping into new and unfamiliar ecosystems...they are more likely to be eaten by a predator than simply staying with and growing with the Herd.

Dark Forest is an entire Ecosystem, where ever expansion ties into the rest. Growing our community’s investment seeds into a tree of wealth. This is achieved by sustainable growth and expansions to continue to bring in fresh investors and funds to support the overall ecosystem. But only if an investor wants to! Investors are free to stay in any expansions they like the most. The returns on their investments grow slowly over time. If boosted rewards are what you are looking for, then Dark Forest has the ability to reward you by blending your investments together for higher rewards. This separates our ecosystem from all other forks. Most forks must give extreme rewards to sustain fresh investments to pay out their early investors. Dark Forest has a sustainable reward system that grows with our community. No project can hold up high rewards forever. That’s why Dark Forest rewards a smaller portion of our community as they grow and expand with us. The team is able to sustain the base APY or APR for all of our expansions because of the constant ecosystem expansion. While rewarding our committed investors with higher rewards as they branch out into the ecosystem. This results in a more sustainable rewards system. The idea came from the team's decision to look at the overall market and select successful projects that had amazing tokenomics but faltered. We then evolved those popular projects and optimized them. We then link them together under the Dark Forest umbrella. This allows us to expand committed investor rewards, without hurting the overall growth of the ecosystem.

How is the Dark Forest Ecosystem different from all the other forks that have failed? We want to grow sustainably. The issue with other forks are they are a git rich quick project with no long term vision. Here at Dark Forest, we would rather reward committed investors for growing with us. Each expansion project comes with its own micro treasury. This treasury then feeds into the large ecosystem treasury. Because of this approach, the team is able to sustain higher APYs for investors who branch out into the ecosystem. Each expansion comes with its own unique utility in the ecosystem. These utilities can be deployed into the expansions for higher rewards.

Start out with a forest node. Investors will get a 3% ROI per day. This is actually closer to 2% after fees and taxes. These taxes are then used to fund the overall ecosystem. As you continue to compound, your daily reward grows. If an investor wants to gain additional rewards, they can branch out into other ecosystem expansions. Starting with our NFTs.

Our NFTs have some of the best utilities in DeFi. A big issue the team saw in node forks was selling pressure from the developers side. In order for other projects to grow, they must sell their native tokens to afford to pay their teams, marketing, development, treasury investments, and security. Dark Forest fixed this problem with our NFT collection of 5,000 unique Deer and Predator NFTs. By breaking the collection down into blocks, the team can raise funds for the ecosystem, without having to sell our native tokens.

Expanding the ecosystem also allows for a significant amount of control over our ecosystem. With each NFT mint, expansion presales, and launches, Dark Forest receives an influx of funds that allows for growth and expansion. Most projects sell their native tokens to afford their projects, Dark Forest has the ability to burn large numbers of tokens from taxes and fees to lower market cap and control supply and demand. The team has removed development selling pressure by removing the need for the team to sell NART collected from taxes, fees, and treasury. Allowing for our expansions to grow unimpeded by the need for funds. This allows for better price action and stability. The Dark Forest can provide truly stable passive income for the foreseeable future.

LLC plan: The Dark Forest Team plans to set up an LLC in the U.S. as a holdings company. Every member of the team would sign on as owners of the company, we would then move all holdings into a certified financial advisors portfolio. This will allow us to avoid future regulations. By setting up our LLC in Wyoming, the crypto laws in place allow for grace periods for crypto company growth and development. Without the risk of regulations slowing us down. Wyoming tax and LLC law allows for a 3 year grace period, for any crypto company LLC established in the state, to meet regulatory standards. This gives Dark Forest a competitive edge and staying power for the foreseeable future. When other projects fold under the pressure of regulatory body’s, Dark Forest will continue to operate as usual while bringing the ecosystem into regulatory compliance. The financial advisor protects the company from government regulations around investment body ownership. The Team is concerned that the regulations will require all crypto company exchanges to operate under a regulatory investment law. Where only a licensed financial provider can issue or manage company investments and funds. This is just another example of how Dark Forest is preparing for the future. If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail. This is completely against our core values. We want to cover all possibilities for how regulations may handcuff crypto projects. The financial advisor is legally allowed to run investment companies and portfolios through U.S. banking and investment laws. This, paired with the 3 year regulatory grace period, makes The Dark Forest Ecosystem one of the safest projects around for those concerned with regulations in DeFi. The final advantage of creating an LLC in Wyoming is the fact that the State of Wyoming does not consider Crypto to Crypto exchanges a taxable event. Allowing the Team to move funds into different DeFi investments, without worrying about tax implications. These tax savings can then be used to help fund ecosystem rewards in the future.

Dark Forest will use our licensed financial advisor to branch out our treasury investments beyond the DeFi space. Investing portions of the Treasury into blue chip crypto, blue chip stocks, real estate, and land. Stock investments will only be in blue chip dividend stocks. This way, the ecosystem can use the quarterly funds to expand investments and rewards. The land will be properties that have harvestable timber. The timber harvested off our lands will be done with the help of a licensed wildlife biologist and forester to ensure our properties are also sustainable. The land holding will also be leased out yearly to provide outdoor recreational activities to the next generation. Dark Forest will also take land that can be used for wetlands and CRP, by the federal government, and flood the land to create wetlands for waterfowl and aquatic ecosystems. (The federal government pays by the year for this. AND you get tax credits but the federal government doesn’t own the land. They are just paying you to keep it flooded for wildlife) this also increases the amount of biodiversity in our struggling ecosystems around the world. All these real world investments come with corporate tax rates of 22% in the U.S. All of our property and land investments come with tax deductions. Every company investment is considered a yearly tax deduction for LLCs. The federal government spreads these tax deductions out over a 5-7 year period. I believe it’s like 35% of the investment value, broken up over 5-7 years. So, essentially, we could be paying little to no taxes on our earnings, while being completely protected legally, and end up with real world investments.

This is the ultimate goal.

Sincerely, Trey (Bear) CEO of Dark Forest
